LAMIVENT TM
Patent Pending NewWater Boatworks is pleased to introduce its new LAMIVENT TM. This technology will soon be available in all NewWater boats. The tunnel design on NewWater boats is the most efficient on the market, but as with all tunnels, they still create a certain amount of drag and resistance. Our new technology basically gives the shallow draft performance NewWater owners have all come to know yet also provides the ability to empty the tunnel, lower the engine, decrease the resistance and increase the speed on command. With this innovation, speed increases 8 to 12 percent on the Ibis, and is expected to be even greater on the Curlew and Avocet. These figures are conservative, in that very little has been done on propellers best suited to the tunnel/non-tunnel application. No data has been gathered regarding fuel savings, but it is estimated that it will be even greater than speed gains. When you experience this new innovation, you will be astonished at the way you can be running along, lower the engine on the jack, push a button, rpm increases by 1000, speed increases, trim angle changes and ride quality improves. When needing to go shallow, simply with the push of a button, the tunnel goes laminar, and up goes the engine. |

Ibis Update
Many of you may have
heard about our Ibis "hull marriage." (A marriage,
as it is referred to in the industry, is when a part built in a mold
refuses to demold after cure.) While it often times is commonplace to
refinish a mold after such an ordeal, we refused to compromise our fit
and finish in this manner. Since we were forced to redevelop a
master
pattern and construct a new hull mold, we felt it an opportunity to
implement new technologies into the Ibis running surface learned
through a development of another model we are creating. These new
technologies will enhance dynamic plane performance. The New Generation Ibis II will be
completed soon.

Recent Design Enhancements

have devised a way to incorporate molded backsides on our hatches
